We work with families who are caring for somebody. We do this in lots of different ways, in local services, schools and online. We help you to find ways of coping with your caring role and to build positive relationships when things get difficult. We bring people together at support groups, offer advice and guidance, and we never judge. Most importantly, we are on your side. We will always do what’s best for young and adult carers.
Those we work with gave feedback on our services. They feel more confident and better able to cope with their caring role.
More than two decades old, West Norfolk Carers is currently supporting over 800 unpaid family carers at any one time.
Our far reaching services impact new and existing individuals and families every year with positive results.
We run several carer’s groups for both young and adult carers. These groups provide a point of contact to answer your queries. Whether you need guidance, advice or just a listening ear, we are here to help. If we can’t help, we certainly know someone who can.
Our Young Carers groups provide support and a break from your child’s caring role. Our five groups help to arrange fun days out and short breaks away from home. We provide 1-1 individual support to help build confidence and give time to talk.
We run two groups, one in King’s Lynn and the other in Hunstanton for those in need of support suffering with or who have been affected by Alzheimer’s.
We have regular carer drop-in support at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and many GP surgeries. 1-1 Support can also be provided.
