Looking After Someone and Need Help?
Transforming Lives is a lottery funded project to support young adult carers under 35 throughout West Norfolk. The service can also help you design your own own personal plan to improve your health and wellbeing, improvingyour quality of life. We will work with you to identify your individual needs and goals, then help you put your ideas into action. You will have access to experienced support workers who will help you achieve the positive outcomes you want.
Are you a Carer?
If you look after a family member or a friend because they struggle to look after themselves, and you are unpaid for doing so, then you are a carer. You may care full time or for a few hours a week.
West Norfolk Carers
West Norfolk Carers is a voluntary organisation dedicated to supporting carers because we understand the stresses and strains you may face. We help carers with information, support and advocacy . West Norfolk Carers can give advice or signpost on benefits and money matters.
We run carers groups in King’s Lynn, Swaffham, Hunstanton and Downham Market.
Training and Workshops
Transforming Lives offers FREE training and workshops that includestopics such as health and wellbeing, stress management, confidence building, health and nutrition, drama, relaxation classes, activity sessions, family relationships, and more.
The service is tailored according to your needs. We will try to provide opportunities to help you deal with your concerns.
Who is eligible?
If you are 16-35 years of age and looking after someone you could be eligible.
