Prior to this Jane worked as a Social Worker. She also serves as a school governor at a West Norfolk High School. She is very committed to the work of supporting carers and feels strongly that carers deserve the very best service that WNC provide to the carers of West Norfolk. She is always keen to meet with carers to learn their opinions and discuss the best ways that WNC can develop services so that they accurately reflect what carers tell her they need.

Sara Nurse - Families and Carers Support Worker. I joined West Norfolk Carers in December 2010. I support Adult carers. My job is to facilitate the carers groups and to support carers with the many issues that they face. I can visit them at home or chat to them in the quiet room in our office. I am there as a listening ear and to help them to get the support that they need. I meet some truly inspirational people and really enjoy the work that I do.
Steve Rourke - Locality Leader. I have been employed by West Norfolk Carers since 2010, and I support carers across the West and North of Norfolk, aged 16 and above. My job could be said to act as a ‘link’ between carers and the services they need. Also, to be someone on the end of a phone carers feel they can talk with. I often provide regular consistent contact, something many carers felt was lacking after carers assessments. I offer timely listening support, when it’s convenient for the carer. This can be over the telephone or a personal visit. Assist carers to find other services that may be useful to them. Help carers think about their needs as their caring role develops, or when it is time for a carers assessment review. To quickly refer back to the social work teams, if a situation changes or becomes more difficult or complex.
Emma Kandjou - Young Carers Support Worker. I started off life at West Norfolk Carers as a volunteer, but now work part-time as a Young Carers Support Worker. I provide one-to-one support, group sessions and work with schools to raise awareness and support Young Carers.
Jackie Haverson - Young Carers Leader. I am the Young Carers Youth Leader for West Norfolk young Carers. I have worked for West Norfolk Carers since 2008, where I started as a volunteer. On the first night as a volunteer at the young carers group I really did not understand the concept of young carers. After my first group session I knew I had to learn more about how we could help young carers. In 2010 after completing Level 2 Youth Leadership training I became Young Carers Group Leader.
Sue McDowell - GP Development Lead. I took up my position at West Norfolk Carers in September 2014. My role involves delivering support services in GPs surgeries and working with GPs to make sure we are providing the services needed and that referrals are made when necessary.
Sally MacGregor - GP Carers Support
Roger Partridge - Transforming Lives Service Lead. Appointed in September 2016 to lead the TransformIng Lives service for younger adult Carers 16-35 years. In addition to advice, signposting and advocacy, Transforming Lives aims to give Carers a personalised wellbeing plan that can include emotional support and development, the offer of support groups and the offer of enjoyable activities.
