Support for Family Carer’s within G.P. Practices
Do you look after someone who is ill; frail; disabled; or has mental health or substance misuse issues?
We are here to support you.
We understand that you have needs too while you find a balance between caring and other activities in your life. West Norfolk Carer’s is working closely with your GP surgery to support you.
As a Carer we know you visit your GP surgery regularly on behalf of your loved one.
So we have dedicated time to spend in the surgeries to identify and help Carers like you!
We know that in order for you to continue to care for your loved one you need to stay healthy and happy.
We can offer you information, advice, practical and emotional support or just a listening ear
If we can’t help we will know someone who can.
We can make home visits or we can see you in the surgery.
Wherever we see you we offer a 1 to 1 confidential service.
We also run several carer’s groups and keep you in touch with a regular newsletter.

The receptionist at your surgery should also be able to provide you with a carer’s information pack which will give you some useful information and telephone numbers to help you until your appointment.
We also have regular Carer Drop-in support at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
